Fred Mergen
Fred Mergen – Mr. Mergen is a 4th degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, he started training in Judo at the age of 6 in Paris, France. After moving to the United States in 1981 Mr. Mergen continued his training in Tae Kwon do, Mu Duk Kwon, Hapkido and Some Judo/Jui-Jitsu. In 1991 he started teaching and training in American Kenpo and since then he has trained with some very respected Martial Artists such as; Trever Sherman, Jeff Speakman (The Perfect Weapon), Dave Hebler(former bodyguard to Elvis Presley), Sean P. Kelley, Manny Reyes Sr., and many more.
Mr. Mergen has taken every step to educate himself on how to teach children, he has attended numerous seminar, workshops and instructor colleges to sharpen his skills on teaching techniques to better communicate with children, teen and adults.
